Our Facility

Distribution Center

Built in 1999, our facility is located on 34.5 acres near Houston's Hobby Airport. This state-of-the-art facility consists of five cooling systems throughout the 100,000 square foot building. Equipped with 75 car cold storage capcity, this facility includes a fully refrigerated dock, customized potato packing line, tomato packing line, pressurized banana, avocado and tomato ripening rooms as well as various temperature and relative humidity controlled coolers. We also have a fully refrigerated fleet of trucks ready for delivery to all points.

Maintaing this unique operation is a highly efficient operations group who monitor regular third-party inspections by Silliker as well as Food Safety and Sanitation programs. In addition to our own Quality Control group, we have up to four USDA quality control inspectors on the premises at any given time. This ensures that all merchandise received into our inventory complies with all Federal regulations and meets Schoenmann's quality specification standards.
